Your answer here will set the stage for how you choose to spend your time. Refer back to your journal often to keep this intention fresh in your mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2. Don\u2019t Respond Immediately<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next time an opportunity is presented to you, don\u2019t answer immediately. In our world of instant gratification, we are quick to answer to check it off our list. Instead of responding without much thought, kindly respond, \u201cThanks, I\u2019ll get back to you soon!\u201d This gives you time to think through your answer to make sure it aligns with your intention but also lets them know you received the invite. (You can always set an alarm on your phone to remind you to get back to them so you don\u2019t forget.)<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3. Say No Clearly, With Intention<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Will this <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nutritiouslife.com\/love-more\/joy-bauer-nutritious-life\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">bring me joy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or help me fulfill my intention? Here is where the power of no really comes into play. If you find that a party is not how you intended to spend your weekend or if the plan doesn\u2019t bring you joy or fulfillment, then you need to do what\u2019s best for you and say no. Explain that you\u2019re unable to attend because you\u2019re taking time to focus on whatever you wrote down as your intention. Or simply say, \u201cI\u2019m busy, thanks for the invite!\u201d You\u2019ll feel empowered and happy that you put yourself and your intentions first.
